Individual Giving
Belvoir patrons, supporters and friends have been there right behind us, from our early beginnings when more than 600 arts, entertainment and media professionals and theatre lovers formed a syndicate to buy the Nimrod Theatre building, through to the momentous redevelopment campaign and into the present day when the donations we receive enable us to create our unique kind of theatre and ensure that it reaches young people and enriches our community. In this way all of our supporters have joined the Belvoir family and become part of our story. Thank you so much for your support.
The Belvoir Stay in the Black Theatre Foundation is a tax deductible fund listed on the Register of Cultural Organisations under Subdivision 30-B of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997. Donations of $2.00 or more are tax-deductible.

The Book of Everything in New York!
Belvoir is thrilled to be presenting The Book of Everything at The New Victory Theater in New York from 20 – 29 April 2012. This is a wonderful opportunity for Belvoir and The Book of Everything co-producers Kim Carpenter’s Theatre of Image to present our show at one of the most prestigious venues for children’s work in the world. The New Victory is the only Broadway theatre dedicated solely to programming work for young audiences and has a comprehensive program of schools workshops, teaching aides and programs which enable disadvantaged students to access its work.
The low ticket price of children’s work means that the fees for The Book of Everything, even at the iconic New Victory Theater, are not sufficient to meet the full cost of the tour. Taking The Book of Everything to New York is a costly endeavour so we need to raise significant funds above and beyond our normal operating budget. Belvoir has already raised more than $60k in private donations towards the tour through a fundraiser held in conjunction with the Australian Consulate General and the American Australian Association hosted by Catherine Martin and Baz Luhrmann in New York.
To cover the costs of the tour, we need to raise a total of $100k so we are seeking donations of between $2.5k and $5k. Of course we would greatly appreciate any support you are able to offer to help us take this very special show to New York.
