CAPRICORNIA TAKES OVER THE YORK THEATRE!

Well, here at the Seymour Centre the sound of saws and hammers is resonating throughout the building as the epic canvas of Capricornia slowly comes to life.

Our fabulous new Associate Artistic Director Wesley Enoch, his cast of 11 intrepid actors and a brilliant creative team will produce truly something magical on the York stage.

Capricornia previews this Saturday 27 May at 8pm, Sunday 28 May at 5pm & Tuesday 30 May at 8pm. All tickets are just $29 for these three performances so make sure you get in on the action!

$1.5M FROM THE AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT

The Australian Government has announced that Company B will receive $1.5M in funding towards the redevelopment of Belvoir St Theatre.

This is a great boost to the project ensuring we can complete the renovations without taking out a mortgage, which would have been a huge drain on our resources. Most importantly, it means Company B can focus on its real purpose: to create innovative, imaginative and inspiring theatre.

The building works are well under way, with both theatre and warehouse renovations expected to be completed on schedule by late August 2006, in time for the opening of It Just Stopped.

We still have the goal of raising a further $500,000.
