Jobs at Belvoir St. Theatre

Company B is one of Australia's most respected theatre companies. Under the artistic leadership of Neil Armfield and the general management of Brenna Hobson, the company has developed a working environment which is creatively challenging and playful as well as financially and technically disciplined.

Creative teams and cast members are engaged on a show-by-show basis but permanent positions exist in the areas of Artistic Administration, Production, Box Office, Front of House, Marketing, Sponsorship, Fundraising and Finance.

Working at Company B is both exhilarating and demanding; it stretches your resources while developing your capability. All employees of the Company are paid according to our Parity Pay policy. The philosophy behind this policy is a belief in the equal value of the contribution of every employee. Rather than remunerate staff by reference to their market rate, all full-time and permanent part-time employees are paid the same hourly rate per week.

Every member of the Company B family is not only rewarded equally but valued equally. Working with some of Australia's most prominent and promising artists, free tickets to productions and a warm, social environment are some of the perks of the job and - from November 2006 - a beautiful new work environment in our administration warehouse in Surry Hills. Working at Company B is highly rewarding in every way (except financially!)

Now is an exciting time to join our expanding team at Company B. The 2008 Season has been widely heralded as bold, challenging and inspiring and looks set to follow in the footsteps of the hugely successful 2007 Season, which saw 5 of the 8 performance seasons at Belvoir St Theatre achieving sell out capacities. There are also some exciting international projects in the pipeline.

Currently we wish to appoint three full time positions to our production department. Each of these positions reports to the Head of Production.
