Company B Announces New Artistic Director
We are thrilled to announce Company B Belvoir has appointed a new Artistic Director. Set Designer, Director and Company B Associate Artist Ralph Myers will lead the company from the end of 2010.
Ralph is one of Australia's foremost young theatre-makers. He has designed sets for most of Australia's major theatre companies including Company B and collaborated with many of the country's prominent theatre directors. He comes to Company B Belvoir as a confident and experienced artist with a clear idea of what theatre is, a vision of how it should be, and the ability to lead and inspire.
Ralph will continue to work as an Associate Artist with Company B Belvoir for the rest of 2009 and throughout 2010. He will work closely with Neil Armfield until his departure in December 2010 and will programme the Company’s 2011 season.
Our 25th anniversary 2010 Season is now open for bookings. The Season kicks off in February with British playwright Polly Stenham's celebrated debut That Face, followed by exciting new work from Australian playwrights Tom Holloway, Tommy Murphy and Scott Rankin, as well as the wit and wisdom of David Hare's The Power of Yes. Company B presents a Malthouse Melbourne production
Forsyth's comic timing is exquisite (Carroll's too) and between them, they realise the full extent of Beckett's grave humour. Exceptional theatre. Don't miss it. Sydney Morning Herald
